When we process applications, assess and follow up projects
We store personal data in order to be able to process applications, assess and follow up projects that have received funding and to check how allocated funding is used. The information is stored in the electronic application system eSøknad through My RCN web and in the archive system Documaster. For applications to SkatteFUNN, the application system Tibi (My page) is used.
We store different types of information, depending on your role. In general, name, national identity number, email address, position, place of work and role in the project are stored. If you are a referee, an expert, a board member or receive a fee from the Research Council, we also store information that is necessary for you to be able to receive a fee. This includes your national identity number or possibly D-number. The information is stored in Unit4, which is our system for financial management. We register information in order to be able to pay fees and report to the government.
For peer reviewers, registered information is also linked to earlier assessment assignments. To find new peers, we often use several external web-based sources, such as the Google Scholar author search tool, Web of Science and Scopus. The data is collected and stored in Dynamics 365 Customer Insights – Journeys.
As a general rule, your personal data linked to application processing and project follow-up is stored and deleted in accordance with the Research Council's archive procedures that comply with requirements from relevant laws and regulations.
